In order to dissipate the heat generated while operating your Adapter, keep it well-
ventilated. While in use, maintain at least 2 inches (~5cm) around the top and sides
of your Adapter. Never operate your Adapter inside a closed or confined space such
as a glove compartment, console, or airline seat pocket.
•
When operating your Adapter, regularly check that the input power cable is firmly
connected. Loose power cables can generate harmful heat that can damage your
Adapter or attached notebook computer.
•
Do not operate your Adapter near a heat source or heat vent, or in direct sunlight.
Your Adapter should be used in temperatures between 50-80 degrees Fahrenheit
(10-27 degrees Celsius).
•
Keep your Adapter dry. Direct contact of your Adapter to moisture may lead to
electrical shock, causing serious or fatal injury and/or property damage. Consult a
qualified technician for a complete safety evaluation before resuming use of your
Adapter when it has come into direct contact with moisture.
•
Inspect your Adapter and cables for damage and wear before use. If damage is
observed, do not use or attempt to repair your Adapter and/or cables. Consult
a qualified technician for a complete safety evaluation.
•
Your Adapter is not user-serviceable. Do not attempt to modify, repair, or tamper
with the external or internal components of your Adapter. Doing so will void the
warranty and may lead to serious or fatal injury and/or property damage.

Warning! Do Not Run Your Vehicle's Engine in a Garage or Other Enclosed
Area!
If you are running your vehicle's engine while stationary to power your notebook or
compatible digital device you have plugged into your Adapter, or to re-charge the
vehicle's battery, do so only in a well ventilated area, and away from other enclosed
areas. Automotive and recreational vehicles emit carbon monoxide which can cause
serious injury or death if the vehicle's engine is running in a garage or other enclosed
area, or near other enclosed areas.
Warning! Ensure that Your Adapter's Cables Do Not Become Tangled with
Your Vehicle's Driving Controls!
When using your Adapter in your vehicle ensure that the cables are positioned in such
a manner that they do not impede upon the use of the foot controls (brake, clutch,
throttle) or hand controls (gearshift, steering wheel) which may lead to an unsafe
vehicle operating condition.
When operating your vehicle, Kensington strongly recommends stowing your Adapter
in a safe place such as the glove box when not in use. If your adapter is in use during
the operation of the vehicle ensure that your Inverter is a safe distance from the driving
controls and will not become tangled with the driving controls during the operation of
the vehicle.
