Do not use the device in the vicinity of
highly fl ammable materials (curtains,
textiles, etc.). Do not place any com-
bustible materials (e. g. cardboard,
paper, plastic) on the device.

Do not insert anything into the open-
ings of the device and make sure that
they do not become clogged. The
device must not be used with blocked
openings.

Keep children and animals away from
the packaging material. There is a
danger of suffocation.
■
Supervise children to ensure that they
do not play with the device.
■
The halogen lamps become hot
during use! Do not touch them during
and immediately after use. There is a
danger of burns.
■
The water and parts of the device
will become hot during use. Avoid
any contact with heated parts during
and immediately after use. There is a
danger of burns.
■
Do not look directly into the light of
the halogen lamps. There is a risk of
glare.
■
Make sure that the connecting cable
does not present a trip hazard. There
is a danger of falling over it.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to
Material and Property
■
Lay the connecting cable in such a way
that it does not become squashed or
bent and does not come into contact
with hot surfaces.
■
Switch off the device and pull the
mains plug out of the plug socket
if an error occurs during operation,

when there is a power cut or before
a thunderstorm.

Always switch off the device fi rst
before the mains plug is pulled out of
the plug socket. When you pull the
mains plug out of the socket, always
pull on the mains plug and never the
mains cable!

Never pull or carry the device by the
connecting cable.
■
Do not tip the device or do some-
thing similar when there is water in
the water tank.
■
Protect the device from other heat
sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero tem-
peratures and impacts. Also protect
the main unit from persistent moisture
and wet conditions.
■
Do not lay or place any heavy objects
on the device or the connecting
cable.
■
Use only original accessories from the
manufacturer in order to guarantee
that there is no interference that may
prevent the device from working and
to avoid possible damage.
FILLING THE WATER TANK
Please Note!
■
Do not overfi ll the water tank (note
the MAX marking)! Electrical compo-
nents could be damaged.
We recommend using distilled
water to prevent potential calcifi -
cation of the device.
1. Make sure that the device is not con-
nected to the mains power.
2. Take the cover (10) off the main unit (5)
(Picture C).
3. Remove the splash guard (9) from the
water tank (7) (Picture C).
