6.3 Hammer drill operation: Concrete, masonry
and stone (Fig. 6 /7)
This setting is for drilling in masonry, stone and
concrete.
Insert a drill bit into the chuck (see section entit-
led "Insert the drill bit or chisel").
Press and hold the release button (d) on the sel-
ector switch (2). Set the selector switch (2) to the
chisel position
(b) using the arrow (c).
Set the selector lever (3) to position
The hammer drill has a hammer stop facility for
gentle initial drilling.
- Turn the selector lever (3) clockwise to position
(b) to switch off the hammer facility.
- To switch on the hammer facility again the sel-
ector lever (3) must be turned back to position
(a).
6.4 Chiseling (Figures 6 and 7)
Fit the flat chisel or pointed chisel in the chuck
(see section entitled "Insert the drill bit or chisel").
Press and hold the release button (d) on the sel-
ector switch (2). Set the selector switch (2) to the
chisel position
(a) using the arrow (c).
Set the selector lever (3) to position
6.5 Depth stop (Figure 1)
The depth stop (7) is a practical aid to enable
you to drill several holes of the same depth.
Drill a hole of the required depth. Pull the power
plug.
Undo the screw on the additional handle (4).
Insert the depth stop (7) into the opening.
Adjust the depth stop (4) to the required depth:
Insert the drill bit into the hole. Now adjust the
depth stop (4) so that its tip touches the edge of
the workpiece. Use the measurement scale on
the depth stop (4) if necessary. Tighten the
screw again.
After connecting the mains plug to the power
source you can then drill more holes of exactly
the same depth. As soon as the depth stop tou-
ches the workpiece, the hole will have exactly
the same depth as the one you drilled previously.
6.6 Dust cap (Figure 8)
Use the dust cap supplied with the tool when
working over head height. This prevents dust
getting into the sensitive interior of the tool.
Fit the dust cap to the drill bit / chisel.
Insert the drill bit / chisel into the chuck.

Clean the tool regularly with a damp cloth and
some soft soap. We recommend that you clean
the tool immediately after you use it.
Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these
may be aggressive to the tool's plastic parts.
Ensure that no water can get into the interior of
the tool.
7.2 Maintenance
Care of the gear and gear rim (Figure 9)
Check that there is sufficient grease in the tool after
around every 25 hours of service. If there is only a lit-
tle grease left, top it up (max. approx. 50 g). Grease
is available from your local trade store. Make sure
that you ask which type of grease is suitable for your
(a).
hammer drill. Pull the plug out of the socket. Remove
the plastic seal behind the selector switch.
Use a sharp object, such as a screwdriver, for this
purpose. Use the cam wrench (a) to remove the
gearbox cover. Insert the required quantity of grease.
Fit the gearbox cover and plastic seal back into the
tool. Lubricate the gear rim on the chuck at regular
intervals with a drop of oil.
