Remote Operation of Audio
Sources Without the TV
(illuminated control flasher)
The Illuminated Control Flasher (or flasher) function
allows you to control audio programme sources
without using the TV's on-screen display by using only
the remote and the front panel of the amplifier.
When you press the direction control button, the
indicator lamps on the front panel light up in
succession. These lamps, let you select and control the
operations that appear in the display on the amplifier.

Click FUNCTION in the main menu.
The FUNCTION SELECT menu appears.

Click SET UP.

Click an audio programme source in the
FUNCTION SELECT menu.

Click the TV off icon to turn off the TV monitor.
Note
The TV off icon for the flasher function only appears
when you select audio programme sources.

Press the left or right side of the direction control
button.
Various operations for the selected programme
source appear in the display each time you press
the direction control button. The indicator
corresponding to the operation button on the
front panel also lights up.
The operations available for each programme
source are shown below.

Click the remote when the operation you want
appears in the display.
To Select another programme source
1 Click the remote when INPUT SELECT appears in
the display.
2 Move the remote commander from left to right.
The various programme sources appear in the
display one at a time. If you select a video
programme source, the TV set will turn on
automatically.
To cancel the flasher function
Click the remote when TV ON appears in the display,
or select a video component.
Note
If you select "ALL OFF" in the flasher mode, the next
time the amplifier is turned on it turns on in flasher
mode. The amplifier turns on normally, however, if
there are components set to auto start (see page 37).
