SAFETY INFORMATION
• Read through these instructions carefully before switching the device on.
To avoid a potentially deadly electric shock and/or fire, please observe the following:
Do not use the device near filled bathtubs or sinks or near other containers filled with
liquids.
• When finished using the device or for cleaning, pull out the mains plug.
• Do not use the device while bathing.
• Never immerse the device or the cable with plug-in mains adapter in water or other
liquids.
• If the device should fall into water, be absolutely sure to pull the mains adapter out
of the socket with earth contact before reaching into the water.
• Never hold the mains adapter if your hands are wet, particularly if you want to plug
it into the socket with earth contact or unplug it again.
• Hold the mains adapter at the case when you pull it out of the socket with earth
contact.
• Installation of a residual current circuit breaker with a rated release current of not
more than 30 mA offers additional protection against electric shock.
Have the installation performed by a trained electrician only.
Use only the original mains adapter included with the device for mains operation.
• Connect the mains adapter only to an easily accessible socket with earth contact.
• To avoid excessive heating, do not cover up the mains adapter.
• Check the mains adapter and the hair/beard trimmer regularly for any mechanical
defects.
• Replace any defective parts with an original part (specialist shop), but never attempt
to repair a defective device yourself.
• Have repairs carried out only by a speciality retailer or by our Service Centre.
• Keep the hair/beard trimmer and mains adapter away from children, because children
are not always able to judge hazards correctly.
• Make sure that the cable does not get caught in cupboard doors or pulled across hot
surfaces.
Otherwise the cable insulation could be damaged.
