• Do not use over red, swollen, infected, or inflamed areas or
skin eruptions, e.g., phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, broken capillaries,
varicose veins, etc. or near cancerous or open wounds.
• Do not apply stimulation over painful areas. If you have painful
areas, you should consult with your healthcare provider before
using this device.
• Keep all electrical appliances (including the FIX Device)
away from water (including baths, showers, and sinks).
• Do not apply stimulation while bathing or showering.
• Do not apply stimulation while driving, operating machinery,
or during any activity in which uncontrollable muscle twitching
may put the user or the public at unnecessary risk of injury.
• If the device begins to overheat, turn the device OFF
immediately.
• Keep this device out of the reach of children and pets.
• Never operate the device if it's not functioning normally, or
not operating properly due to damage caused by dropping
or accidental submersion in water.
• Discontinue using the device immediately if you suspect
the device to be malfunctioning, or not operating properly.
Return the device to NuFACE for examination and repair.
• Never drop or insert any object into any openings on the
device.
• Use of accessories, transducers and cables other than
those specified, except for transducers and cables sold by
the manufacturer of the FIX Device as replacement parts for
internal components, may result in increased emissions or
decreased immunity of the system.
• Use of controls or adjustments, or the performance of pro-
cedures other than those specified herein, may result in injury.
• Do not take the device apart as this may cause damage,
inappropriate function, electrical shock, fire or injury.
The device parts cannot be replaced or repaired by users.
Note: Taking the device apart voids the warranty.
P R E C AU T I O N S
The NuFACE FIX™ Line Smoothing Device is designed for
cosmetic use only and for individuals in good health. If this
is not the case for you, please consult your healthcare provider
before use.
• The long-term effects of transcutaneous electrical stimulators
are unknown.
• If you have suspected or diagnosed heart disease, you should
follow precautions recommended by your healthcare provider.
• Some patients may experience skin irritation or hyper-
sensitivity due to the electrical stimulation or conductive serum.
Irritation can usually be reduced by using an alternate NuFACE
conductive medium.
• Skin irritation and burns beneath the electrodes have been
reported with the use of other powered muscle stimulators.
If you experience skin irritation or burning, discontinue use
immediately.
• If using the FIX Device causes persistent pain or discomfort,
discontinue use immediately.
• A slight tingling sensation may occur while using the
FIX Device.

• There may be a perception of flashing lights during the use
of your FIX Device, resulting from the stimulation of your optic
nerve. If you notice this condition constantly without the use of
your device, consult your healthcare provider.
• The battery of the device is not removable by the user. If the
device is to be disposed of, do not put into a fire. Dispose of the
device per local regulations.
• Inspect the device and do not use the device if you see any
signs of internal battery leaks.
• The FIX Device is intended to be stored and used at room
temperature. Do not store FIX Device in the sun or on a hot
surface. High temperatures may be damaging. The device
should be operated, transported and stored in the manner
specified in this manual. Failure to use and maintain the device
in accordance with the instructions outlined in this manual will
void the warranty.
• Only use the Micro USB Cable provided with your FIX Device.
The NuFACE FIX™ Line Smoothing Device is intended for
cosmetic use on the face as described. Any consequence
resulting from misuse, application to other parts of the body
or face, connection to improper voltage sources, dirty spheres,
expired or non-NuFACE conductive alternative, or any other
improper application is neither the responsibility of NuFACE
nor its affiliates.
B E F O R E U S I N G YO U R D E V I C E
1) Remove your FIX Device and Micro USB cable from the box.
2) Place your FIX Device on a counter or table top. Keep away
from any source of water.
3) Connect your FIX Device to a USB outlet to begin charging.
A single short pulse will occur when the device is properly
connected.
Note: The FIX Device cannot be used while plugged in and
will not turn ON while charging.
4) Important: Charge your FIX Device for 4 hours before
the first use. The white LED light will blink, showing that your
FIX Device is charging. The light will stay lit when your FIX
Device is fully charged.
5) Important: Test your skin to make sure you are not sensitive
to the NuFACE FIX™ Line Smoothing Serum. To do so, apply
a small amount on your forearm. Leave for 15-30 minutes
before washing it off. If an allergic reaction (rash, redness, etc.)
develops, immediately contact NuFACE for recommendations
on alternate NuFACE formula. You should not initiate treatment
with the NuFACE FIX Device until your reaction to the serum
has been resolved.
6) When your FIX Device is ON it will emit an energizing hum
and the white LEDs will illuminate.
Note: There is only one intensity level to the device.
7) Important: Always ensure that the two (2) spheres remain
in direct contact with the skin. Avoid pulling or stretching the
skin during treatment.
8) The FIX Device energizing hum will emit 3 rapid pulses
during treatment when the battery needs recharging.
Note: The FIX Device will NOT contract the muscles.
The current is soft, soothing, and mild when used correctly.
