Use

WARNING!
Danger of damage to hearing! A high volume which impinges on your ears for a
lengthy period of time can cause permanent hearing damage. Select a low volume
before putting on the sound amplifi er. Always just choose a pleasant level of sound
amplifi cation.
Interference from magnetic fi elds! The sound amplifi er generates magnetic fi elds.
They may interfere with pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defi brillators
(ICDs). Always maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between these devices and the
earphones. If you believe that a pacemaker or another medical device is suffering
interference, switch the sound amplifi er off immediately and contact the manufacturer
of the pacemaker or other medical device.
1. Turn the volume control to a low volume.
2. Slide the On / Off switch to the ON position.
3. Put the sound amplifi er on in such a way that the microphone is directed away from
your body. Make sure that the ear cushions fi t well in your auditory canals. They
should neither press nor be too loose. Either would reduce your ability to hear.
Change the ear cushions if necessary (see "Attaching the Ear Cushions").
4. Use the volume control to set a suffi cient and pleasant level of sound amplifi cation.
If a loud background noise (feedback) occurs, reduce the volume until the noise
disappears.
5. After use take off the sound amplifi er and switch it off (move the On/Off switch to the
OFF position) to preserve the battery.
6. Place the sound amplifi er in the stand which is supplied with it for storage.
7. Clean the ear cushions regularly (see "Cleaning").

Cleaning

PLEASE NOTE!
Liquid may destroy the device! Keep the sound amplifi er away from water or other
liquids. Only the ear cushions may be cleaned with water. However, they must be
completely dry before they are attached to the device.
The ear cushions are neither machine-washable, dishwasher-safe nor suitable for
tumble drying! Only ever dry the ear cushions in the air, and never use a hair dryer
to do so.
Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the de-
vice and accessories.
However, if the ear cushions are damaged or worn, they must be replaced. New ear
cushions can be ordered at www.service-shopping.de.
Switch off the device before cleaning it.
