8. Maintenance
Maintenance and repair must only be carried out by trained personnel.
As with other compressed air tools, the air pump of the jack requires oil for lubrication of the moving parts. The use of
a compressor with a compressed air lubricator and filter is recommended.
Daily: Lubricate the air motor by injecting one drop of oil into the air connection of the lever with an oiler, and subse-
quently completely pull out the cylinder. Now remove the air hose and deposit a few drops of oil into the jack. Release
the jack again.
Monthly: Empty the water separator and refill the oil lubricator with oil. Lubricate all mechanical parts with
a few drops of oil. At the same time inspect jack and extensions for damage and wear and tear.
The oil level must also be checked:
- Bring jack into a horizontal position
- Completely retract the cylinder
- Remove housing
- Unscrew filling cap on the cylinder cap from the side
- Correct oil level = Oil is up to the bottom edge of the filler hole (filling quantity approx. 1.25 l)
Any good quality hydraulic oil with a viscosity ISO VG 15 may be used.
Never use brake fluid!
Safety inspection
In accordance with national legislation, the following parts must be inspected at least once a year by an expert: dama-
ge to saddle, check of control valves, leaks to cylinder and pump.
9. Disposal
The jack must be disposed of and recycled in accordance with the applicable legislation of the country of use.
