If the sterilizer level is lower than 1,2 ppm for the BROMINE, leave in the initial position.
After an additional period of 24 hours analyse the water again:
If the level is correct, leave that position.
If the level is too "low", increase a graduation mark.
In the following days, analyse the water every evening and "adjust" the regulation, by increasing or diminishing one
graduation mark, as convenient.
B. First starting up with water that already contains a sterilizer or bromine product:
Place the adjustment knob in the position 7 for the BROMINE
Proceed then as indicated in paragraph A.
6.- MAINTENANCE
The O-Ring on the cover must be lubricated with liquid soap only.
Do not use calcium hypochlorine in the feeder. Do not mix chemical products
Always use slow dissolving Triclorine or Bromine tablets, but never mix both products. Do not open the cover
while the feeder is in operation. Avoid inhalating the fumes when you open the feeder cover.
6.1.- Opening the feeder
Before operating the feeder, keep the filtration in the manual position for about 15 minutes.
In order to open the feeder, place the adjustment knob in the position CLOSED (position 0) to avoid water leaks in
the circuit.
6.2.- Filling the feeder
Loosen the drain plug which is located on top of the cover. If the feeder has already contained products, avoid
inhalating the fumes that can be emitted.
Unscrew the upper cover.
Fill the feeder with a load of 5,5 Kg maximum of Bromine tablets for the model ref. 21438 or 10 Kg for the model ref.
21439.
Close the cover and the drain plug.
Start up the filtering equipment.
7.- SHOCK STERILIZER
After a very warm day with high attendance, it is necessary to perform a Shock Sterilization. For that purpose,
increase 2 graduation marks the "Maintenance position" for a whole night with the filtering on.
Then come back to the "Maintenance position".
NOTE: The feeder contains a PH water regulator (PH must be between 6,8-7,2).
8.- INFLOW OF AFTER
After each inflow of water, it is recommended to use Shock Chlorine tablets in order to compensate quickly the sterilizer level.
These tablets must be ONLY place in the Skimmer basket. For a inflow of water of 1 cm. add a shock chlorine cake of 20
gr. (2 cm= 2 tablets). After an inflow of water, it is also possible of filtering for about 24 hours keeping an extra
graduation mark.
9.- WINTER STORAGE
In areas where freezing is expected, the feeder must be completely drained. To open the feeder, follow the steps in Point 6.1
of the maintenance section.
Eliminate the remains of the tablets that have not dissolved. Rinse the inside of the feeder with water. If it will not be in operation
for an extended period of time, always drain the feeder and remove the load from inside. Place the feeder in a ventilated area
and dry the load in the sun. Then, store it in a separate container.
10.- SAFETY WARNINGS
DANGER OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION (Read carefully)
The load must never exceed 5,5 Kg. for the model of ref. 21438 or 10 kg. for the model of ref. 21439.
Only use slow-dissolving Trichlorine CTX-370 or Bromine CTX-130 tablets. Never mix different chemical products.
This may cause an explosion or fire.
Never open the cover when the feeder is in operation. Disconnect the pump beforehand and close the valves.
Be extremely careful when you open the unit. Do not smoke or inhale the fumes. Protect your hands and eyes.
To prevent gas build up, make sure that the pool feedback line is always open, unless refilling or maintenance of the unit is
being performed.
