Readers
The DC allows connection of standard readers, which may be of four different types:
Readers with data output in Wiegand-26 format.
Readers with data output in MagStripe format (ABA Track II or Data/Clock).
Dallas i-Button type button key readers.
Matrix keypads with data output in 8-bit burst format .
The DC admits any of these types of reader, as long as the two readers connected are
the same type. It can also control two LEDs and a buzzer in the reader.
If keypad readers are used, keypad codes are entered by keying in the corresponding code
followed by «B» (or its equivalent: #):123456B, 123456#.
It is not necessary to enter a «0» before the keypad code, as is the case with standard
Fermax keypad readers.
Confi guration
Door Number: The access/door handled (0..31) must be confi gured by means of the DIP-
switches (switches from 1 to5)

Type of Readers: The type of readers connected must be confi gured in the DC by means
of the DIP-switches (switches 6 and 7). The possible confi gurations are

If using a Wiegand-26 reader or a Data/Clock (ABA Track II) reader, you must indicate
if the card code to be read needs to have conversion applied (switch 8:on) or not
(switch 8:off).
With Fermax cards, it must be activated (switch 8:on)
The rest of the DC parameters are confi gured with the confi guration software: door release
activation time, open door time, type of access, etc.
