The memory module must be installed
near the power supply unit (possibly
in the same electric panel); in any
case, the distance must not exceed
10 metres.

device too far from the power supply unit
Steady green:
normal operation
Steady orange: system not acquired yet
Steady red:
device exclusion phase
Blinking red:
acquisition in progress
Blinking orange: incorrect or missing configuration
The memory module resets the status of lights controlled by an automation system after a black out. To achieve this function, the device permanently
memorises the status of the actuators which control the lights (except those with the PUL configurator in M position) but not those for the shutters.
Every command sent to the bus is memorised by the device. In case of a black out or short network suspensions (minimum 400ms), the device
will send the status of the memorised system to the bus. The recovery operations need about ten seconds.
There must not be other devices with the same memory module address inside the system.
You only need to install one memory module for each automation system. If an installation is made up of several systems, all connected with an
SCS/SCS interface, it will be necessary to use a memory module for each power supply unit installed. Conversely, if the interface is configured
in "physical expansion" mode (configurator 1 in MOD position), only one module will be sufficient for the whole installation.
Programming the memory module enables you to select the lights for which the status recovery is required and those for which it is not required.
Programming sequence:
- Connect the memory module, power up the bus and make sure that the load of the dimmers is connected and powered (all lights must be off).
- press the key on the front side for at least five seconds, the red LED remains steadily on;
- turn on, one at a time, the loads which are not to be controlled (all the loads that have remained off will be controlled);
- press the key within 30 minutes; the red LED will begin to flash quickly so as to indicate the pickup phase;
- after about 20 seconds, the LED will turn on steadily to indicate that the pickup phase has ended and that the memory module is operative.
- if the programming phase is not completed within 30 minutes, the orange LED will turn on steadily, hence indicating that the system has not
been acquired.
When the programming phase has been completed, it is recommended to do a test in order to verify the correct setting of the device:
- switch on some of the controlled loads (i.e. those not explicitly excluded in the programming phase and not configured as PUL in M);
- switch off, simulating a black-out, for at least 15 seconds.
- switch back on again; after a few seconds the status of the controlled loads must be reset (i.e. those which were ON before the black-out must
switch back ON), whereas the uncontrolled loads must remain OFF.
- The timed activations of the loads are managed by the memory module as simple activations. When the system is being retrieved after a black
out or after a short network suspension, the devices that were executing a timed process are re-activated in non-timed mode.
- If changes are made to the system (inclusion or modification of devices) or to the configuration, the programming procedure of the memory
module must be repeated.
