10. Fasten the air intake grille and the device with the locking screw.

4 Initial operation

Please observe the following before initial operation
Ensure that the following requirements are met:
r The minimum distances have been maintained.
r The power supply is properly connected.
r All filters are inserted and undamaged.
Switching on and off (T-C1, TH-C1)
The device is switched on and off without contact by means of the sensor:
1. Hold hands or head under the outlet opening of the device.
9 The sensor automatically switches on the device.
9 The device is switched off as soon as hands or head are removed from the sensor range.
9 The device is automatically switched off if hands or head remain in the sensor range for a longer period
of time:
Hand dryer: 35 seconds
Hair dryer: 4 minutes
Switching on and off (TB-C1)
The device is switched on and off by taking the handpiece out of the holder:
1. Take the handpiece out of the holder.
9 The hair dryer is switched on.
2. Put the handpiece back into the holder.
9 The hair dryer is switched off.
Safety features
The hand dryer is equipped with the following safety features:
– Safety cut-off sensor after 35 seconds
– Safety temperature limiter in case of overheating, e.g. if the outlet opening is blocked
The hair dryer is equipped with the following safety features:
– Safety cut-off sensor after approx. 4 minutes, e.g. in case of chewing gum vandalism
– Safety temperature limiter in case of overheating, e.g. if the outlet opening is blocked
– Thermal fuse in case of overheating
5 Conduct in case of emergency
In cases of fire hazard, electrical shock, mechanical damage, unusual operating conditions or misuse, proceed as
follows:
1. Unplug the power cord. With direct connection: Switch off the circuit breaker or unscrew the fuse.
2. Secure against accidental switching on.
