Using the analytical device
6.1
Analysing refrigerant
A
NOTICE!
 Before use, make sure the filter and hose are free from oil to
ensure the device is protected against oil and soiling. If this is
not the case, replace it.
 Switch off the ignition and, if applicable, the vehicle's air con-
ditioning system before using the analytical device and let the
vehicle rest for 3 minutes. If the input pressure is too high, the
analytical device can be damaged.
➤ Plug in the connection cable (fig. 1 7, page 2) on the underside of the
analytical device (fig. 2 4, page 2).
➤ Connect the battery terminals to the car battery. Observe the correct
polarity.
✓ The LEDs on the analytical device flash one by one.
➤ Press the "Next" button (fig. 2 3, page 2).
✓ The analytical device begins its warm-up process.
After around 90 seconds, the "Calibrating" LED flashes (fig. 2 8,
page 2).
➤ Press the manual pump 5 times to clean the sensor of the device.
➤ Press the "Next" button (fig. 2 3, page 2).
✓ The "Calibrating" LED lights up for (fig. 2 8, page 2) 60 seconds.
➤ Connect the connection hose with the maintenance opening in the refrig-
erant container when the "Analysing" LED (fig. 2 7, page 2) flashes.
➤ Press the "Next" button (fig. 2 3, page 2).
✓ During the analysis, the "Analysing" LED (fig. 2 7, page 2) lights up for
approx. 45 seconds.
After analysis, the "Pass" (fig. 2 1, page 2) or "Fail" LED (fig. 2 2,
page 2) lights up (see chapter "Measurement results" on page 17).
➤ Remove the connection hose from the maintenance opening of the refrig-
erant container.
➤ Press the "Next" button (fig. 2 3, page 2).
