USING THE MACHINE
• To reduce the risk of personal injury, ALWAyS
operate the tool with the side handle properly ins-
talled and securely tightened. Hold tool with both
hands (one on each handle). To install the
handle, slide the clamp onto the hammer case as
shown, position as needed, and tighten the clamp
screw so the handle does not slip.
• Before using the tool, check that there is no dan-
gerous interaction with the immediate environment
(explosive gas, inflammable or dangerous liquid,
unknown piping, electric sheathing or cable, etc).
• Before connecting the tool to the air inlet, check
the trigger is not blocked in the on position by an
obstacle and no adjustment or assembly tool is still
in position.
• Check the tool is connected to the network by a
quick disconnect joint and that an air braker valve
is close by to shut the air down immediately in the
event of blockage, breakage or any other incident.
• keep hands, loose clothing and long hair away
from rotating end of tool.
• Check the position of the inversion system
before starting the machine.
• Anticipate and be alert for sudden changes in
motion during start up and operation of any power
tool.
• Ensure that the unit on which the work is being
carried out is immobilised.
• For maximum performance, the coupler on
the wall should be the next size larger than the
coupler used on tool. The coupler closed to the
tool should not be less than the proper air supply
hoze size.
WARNING
Use protective equipment such as glasses, gloves,
safety shoes as well as acoustic protection.
Remain vigilant, use common sense and pay
attention when using the machine.
Always turn off the air supply and disconnect
the airsupply hose before installing, removing or
adjusting any accessory on this machine, or before
performing any maintenance on this tool.
Operate at 90 psig (6,2 bar / 620 kPa) Maximum
pressure.
• The Forward / Reverse Lever is also a Regulator
with a "Low Power" detent position. The Lever
must be engaged in either the low forward detent
position, the full forward or full reverse power
position to ensure the tool operates to the optimal
intended performance.
• The tool is equipped with a Two Stage Trig-
ger. The trigger allows a low speed (low power)
operation when depressed to the half way detent
position. Fully depressed, the trigger allows full
power /speed, depending on the regulator lever
position.
• To install optional Outside Trigger (item #3),
disconnect air supply, press out 3 dowel pins
(items #4), remove Throttle Insert (item #48), install
Outside Trigger into position and re-install the 3
dowel pins.
• To install optional support hangers (items #34,
47) remove the 2 top Screws only (item #50),
remove Hanger Insert (item #33), install both rear
and front hanger, re-install both screws securely to
18-20 lb/ft (24-27 Nm). Apply blue medium
strength thread-locker to threads per product
directions.
• In the event of blockage, release the trigger
and disconnect the tool from the compressed air
network.
• Use accessories recommended by USAG.
• The use of other than genuine USAG
replacement parts may result in safety hazards,
decreased machine performance, and increased
maintenance, and cancel all warranties.
