The Mounting Base can be used on a flat surface or a
tripod to project a "Point" on a work surface. This Point
Function is useful when aligning wall outlets, hanging
hooks, and performing layout work at a consistent height.
1. Place the Base on a relatively level surface, or on a
tripod using the 1/4" threaded Tripod Mount (13).
2. Place the tool on the Base with the Magnets facing the
Point Metal Surface and the Aluminum Surface facing
Line Metal Surface.
3. Level the tool by using the Adjustment Screw (10).
4. Activate the Laser Point.
5. Rotate the upper part of the Base to the desired target.
NOTE:
If the level surface or the tripod does not extend
to the desired height, mark a reference point where the
laser point appears on the work surface and measure up
or down from that point to your desired height.
