1 Description and Purpose
Application:
These instructions are for use by the practitioner.
Brio is to be used exclusively as part of a lower limb prosthesis.
Brio is a push button operated manually adjustable ankle allowing the user to
accomodate a variety of heel heights for shoe changes.
Note, the anterior aspect of the unit is marked to ensure correct orientation when
fitting.
This device is recommended for users at Activity Level 1-4 and who may benefit from
the ability to optimise the PF/DF alignment of their prosthetic foot within a range of
heel heights.
Contra-indications:
This device may not be suitable for users who cannot reach their ankle or are not
dextrous enough to operate the push button or those with poor cognitive function.
Intended for single user.
Ensure that the user has understood all instructions for use, drawing particular
attention to the section regarding maintenance.
When adjusting, please be aware of the potential finger trap
hazard between the upper and lower parts of the device.
