Do not connect the device with other electrical devices to a mul-

ti-plug connector to avoid overloading the socket.
Always place the device on a dry, level, fi rm, and heat resistant

surface.
Do not make any modifi cations to the device. Also do not repla-
■
ce the mains cord yourself. Only have the device, cord and plug
repaired by a qualifi ed workshop. Contact customer service if ne-
cessary. Improper repairs could pose serious risks for the user.
Lay the cord such that it is not crushed or creased and such that
■
it does not come into contact with hot surfaces. Ensure that the
mains cord is always located on the back of the device. Never
hang it over the device.
Never immerse the device, the mains cord and the plug in water
■
or other liquids and make sure that there is no risk of them falling
in water or getting wet.
If the device falls in water, immediately disconnect the power
■
supply. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water when it
is connected to the mains supply!
Never touch the device, the mains cord and the mains plug with
■
wet hands when these components are connected to the mains
supply.
Turn the device off and pull the mains plug out of the socket
■
– if you are not using the device,
– before you go to bed,
– if a fault occurs during operation,
– before a storm,
– before you clean and/or stow the device.
Always pull on the plug itself and never on the mains cord!

Only use the device in enclosed areas.
■
Never use the device outdoors or in rooms with high humidity,
■
e.g. in the bath room. Do not use the device near water (e.g. bath
tubs or sinks). Nearby water poses a risk, even if the device is
switched off.
Protect the device against moisture, dripping water or splash wa-
■
ter: there is a risk of electrical shock. Do not place any contai-
ners fi lled with liquids, e.g. vases, near the device.
