MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
In addition to weekly testing, the alarm requires periodic cleaning to remove dust, dirt, and
debris.
Clean the alarm at least once a month to remove dust, dirt or debris.
Use a vacuum cleaner with the soft brush, vacuum all sides and covers of smoke alarm.
Be sure all the vents are free of debris.
IMPORTANT
Do not attempt to remove the cover to clean inside.
This will affect your legal warranty.
WARNING
Use only the batteries specified.
Using different batteries may have detrimental effects on the alarm.
A good safety measure is to replace the battery at least once a year.
NOTE
Reinstall immediately after exchanging the batteries and then test the unit using the test
button.
REPAIR
If the alarm is not operating properly, and is still under warranty, contact the seller.
If the alarm is no longer under warranty, have a licensed electrician replace it immediately with
a comparable alarm.
CAUTION
Do not attempt to repair the alarm. It will affect your warranty.
