Safety (diagram 5)
- Never leave the detachable towball loose in the car. Always store
the towball ina secure location where it is not free to enter the passenger
compartment in the event of a collision or heavy braking or cornering. If
not secured, the towball could cause serious injuries.
- Make sure that when installed the detachable towball operation handle
shows the green indicator window and has popped out completely. This
can be confirmed by locking the towball with the key.
If, after being installed, the indicator window in the operation handle
does not show `green`, then you must NOT use the system for
towing !
For further questions please refer to your local dealer.
- The driver is responsible for the safe operation and use of his
vehicle at all time. Therefore, if there is any doubt as to the integrity
of the installation of the detachable towbar do not use it for towing.
Warranty
The product warranty is valid for 3 years from the day of purchase. The
product warranty covers faulty materials and workmanship. During the
period this warranty is valid the detachable system you have purchased will
be repaired, replaced or have parts replaced free of charge, provided that:
- the original invoice, including date of purchase, can be handed over
- the detachable system has been installed, operated and used according
to the instructions in the manual
- the detachable system has been used within the towing limits specified by
the vehicle manufacturer (see the vehicle user & service handbook)
- the detachable system or its mechanism has not been damaged by some
kind of extreme force, e.g. by the use of additional tools, by a car accident,
or by any other extreme event.
In case of a warranty claim please contact your local towbar dealer.

General instructions for operation and use of the detachable system
1. This user manual contains information that is essential to ensure a safe
operation of the system. It must be kept with the vehicle documents at all
times.
2. We emphasise that a towbar is a safety critical item which should be
used and installed according to the instructions.
3. All operations should be performed by hand. Never use tools of any kind
when mounting or removing the system. The use of tools can result in
damage of the operation handle or operation mechanism, after which safe
usage can no longer be assured and warranty will become invalid
4. Make note of the code number of the keys that are supplied (refer to sketch
page), so that in case of loss a new key set can be ordered.
5. Always check that the indicator window in the operation handle shows
"green" every time before towing, as shown in diagram 3.
6. When used in combination with a coupling head with an integrated stabiliser,
e.g. Alko or Winterhoff, in order to achieve optimum result do not use grease
on the towball.
7. If the trailer is equipped with a safety cable or a cable for brake assist, they
must be connected to the special safety hole that is located in the towbar
part that is fi x with the car body. Make sure the cable does not interfere with
the operation handle of the detachable system !
8. If the towball obscures (even partly) the vehicle registration plate, the towball
must be removed from the vehicle when not used for towing
9. If there are any doubts or concerns regarding the use or the operation of the
detachable system contact your local dealer at all times
