When the user is properly seated in the wheelchair, position the belt across the
pelvis and attach the strap to the Guide Plate as shown in Figure 4.

Tighten the strap in place making sure the belt is comfortably sitting around the
pelvic area. Adjust each strap evenly so the buckle is in the middle and that there is
no more than 3" (75mm) of strap coming from the buckle to the 'D' Ring.

Buckle the belt. Tighten the belt by grabbing one or both 'D' Rings and pull the strap
until the belt is not too loose to be ineffective nor too tight to cause discomfort (Fig.
5).
