OPERATING PROCEDURES
„ All compressed air contains moisture and other contaminants that can harm
-rust or "gum up"- the internal components of the tool. An air line filter (M,
fig.2) will remove most of these and significantly prolong the life of the tool.
Ensure the in-line oiler (L, fig.2) has sufficient oil. If an in-line oiler is not
available, place 4-5 drops of oil into the tool's air inlet (fig.3) at the beginning
of each workday. More than this will be expelled from the tool's exhaust
during firing.
„ Air fitting: The nailer should be equipped with a 1/4" NPT male 'quick
connector'. For better performance. install a quick plug with an inside
diameter of 5/16" (8 mm) on the tool and a quick coupler on the air hose.
To prevent accidental cycling even though disconnected, the tool must
always be connected to the air supply in such a way that all air pressure
in it is released when the coupling is disconnected. Note the way the
quick-connect fittings are set up with plugs (F, fig.2) that allow air to flow
unrestricted into and out of the tool and the couplers (K, fig.2) which
restrict airflow downstream from the air source (N, fig.2) when the tool is
disconnected.
„ Do not use bottled air or gases.
CAUTION:
„ All air line components (including hoses, pipe, connectors, filters, &
regulators, etc.) must be rated for a minimum working pressure of 150
!
PSI or 150% of the maximum system pressure, whichever is greater.
„ Disconnect the tool from the air supply before performing maintenance,
clearing a jammed fastener, leaving the work area, moving the tool to
another location, or handing it to another person.

LUBRICATION

The tool requires lubrication before using the tool for the first time and before
each use. Only if an inline oiler is used, is manual lubrication through the air
inlet (fig.3) not required on a daily basis.
NOTICE Work surfaces can be marred or damaged due to excessive lubrication.
Proper lubrication is the owner's responsibility. Failure to lubricate the tool
properly will dramatically shorten the life of the tool and void the warranty
1. Disconnect the air supply from the tool to add lubricant.
2. Turn the tool so the air inlet is facing up.
3. Place 4-5 drops or 30W non-detergent oil into air inlet. Do not use
detergent oils, oil additives or air tool oils. Air tool oils contain solvents
which will damage the tool's internal components.
4. After adding oil, run tool briefly.
5. Wipe off any excess oil from the cap exhaust.
ChECK ThE TOOL
„ Clean and inspect tool daily.
„ Carefully check for proper operation of trigger and safety mechanism.
