Maintenance and cleaning

Your Feuersegel is made of high­quality materials. Please observe the following instructions
®
when cleaning and maintaining the surfaces.
Only clean the fireplace once it has
cooled down completely.
Only use non­ferrous cleaning
agents to clean stainless steel.
Otherwise the stainless steel
surface will become damaged!
• Never use varnish removers or solvents
to remove stains.
• Do not use strong or abrasive solvents
or scrub pads, as they damage the
surface and leave scrub marks.

Storage and transportation

• Always store the product in a dry place.
• Protect the product from damage
during transport.
• Regularly tighten all screws prior to
each use to ensure that the Feuersegel
stands firmly.
• Only use water with dish detergent or
commercially available stainless steel
cleaners.
• Empty the cold ash and clean the fireplace
regularly, preferably after each use.
• Remove loose debris on the Feuersegel
with a wet sponge.
• Dry with a soft, clean piece of cloth. Do not
scratch the surfaces when drying.
As a consequence of the high temperatures
(over 500° C) in the fire column, there may
be some discolouration on the column itself
and on the junction to the heat shield. This
is completely normal, unavoidable and does
not impair the functionality. Therefore such
® discolourations are not considered to give
rise to valid claims!
If the Feuersegel ®
for a prolonged time, there may be corrosion-
induced patches of rust.
