• Protect the mains line of the dirt water pump against heat, oil/gasoline and sharp edges; do not step on
the mains line, do not drive on it (e.g. wheelbarrow, bicycle, car). Do not bend the mains line and do not
place any objects on it.
• If you use an extension cable, this must not have a lower line cross-section than the cable of the dirt water
pump. Only use an extension line with protective ground that is suitable for outdoor use.
• Ensure that electrical plug connections are in flooding-safe areas; otherwise, there is a danger to life
from electric shock!
• Observe that the protective ground is not interrupted in the mains line, any connected extension, the
mains socket used for power supply or the dirt water pump as such, since an interrupted ground will
cause danger to life from electrical shock.
• There must not be any ambience temperatures around or below freezing (<0 °C) at the operating site.
The water in the dirt water pump would freeze and the higher volume of ice destroy the dirt water pump.
Store the product dry and protected from frost in winter.
Operation
• Check the entire product for damage before each commissioning.
If you find any damage, the product must not be used.
Repairing a damaged mains cable is not permissible! There is danger to life from electric shock! Have
the mains cable replaced by a specialist or dispose of the dirt water pump environmentally compatibly.
If the product is already connected to the mains voltage and if you find any subsequent damage, first
switch off all contacts of the associated mains socket (deactivate circuit breaker or turn out fuse; then
switch off the associated FI protection switch).
Only now unplug the dirt water pump mains plug from the mains socket. Do not operate the product
anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.
Leave the repair to a specialist!
• If you have reason to believe that the dirt water pump can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it
immediately and make sure it is not unintentionally operated; pull the mains plug from the socket. It can
be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the pump or connection lines show visible damage
- the pump no longer works
- the pump has been transported or stored under difficult circumstances
- there has ben heavy stress during transport.
• Consequential damage caused by malfunction or interference at the dirt water pump must be prevented
by suitable measures (e.g. water level indicator, sensors, alarm devices, backup pump, etc.).
• The product is suitable for a mains voltage of 230 V/AC/50 Hz of the public mains. Never operate the
product with any other voltages.
• The product is not suitable for conveying potable water or food.
• No people or animals must be present in the conveyed medium of the dirt water pump; there is a danger
of injury!
