Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by chil-

dren, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are super-
vised.
The device may not be used by people who are insensitive to
■
heat and may not be used by other vulnerable people who are
unable to react to overheating.
The device is not intended for use in hospitals.

Before using the device on an adjustable bed, you must check
■
that the heated underblanket and the cables are not for example
trapped in hinges or pushed together.
Do not use the heated underblanket if it is wet or damp. It must
■
be completely dry before you start using it.
Only ever use the controller that is also supplied with the heated
■
underblanket and do not use it with any other device.
Only ever use the heated underblanket with the controller
■
QDK11-D that is supplied with it. Never use it with another con-
trol unit.
No safety pins or other sharp or pointed objects may be placed
■
on the heated underblanket or inserted into it.
Do not switch on the heated underblanket when it is folded up.
■
It must always be spread out prior to use to prevent the build-up
of heat.
Always check the device and accessories for damage or wear
■
before putting them into operation. It may only be used if it is
undamaged and does not display any signs of wear and tear.
Do not make any modifi cations to the device.
■
If the heated underblanket, the controller, the connecting cable,
■
the mains cable or the mains plug are damaged, they must be
replaced by the manufacturer, customer service department or
a similarly qualifi ed person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to
avoid any hazards.
The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer
■
or a separate remote control system.
The device must always be disconnected from the mains power
■
when it is left unattended and before assembling, disassem-
bling and cleaning the device.
