Turn on the on/off switch (4) in order to switch the crackling box on or off. You will hear a crackling
sound and the Xenon light will start flashing when the crackling box is turned on.
The batteries will probably need replacing if the crackling box doesn't give off any sound or light. You
can replace these yourself by unscrewing the four screws. Put the screws on one side and pull the
inside out of the crackling box by pulling it up with the handle (1).
The crackling box operates on 8 D-cell 1.5V batteries. Make sure the + and – terminals are securely
connected when replacing the batteries, as indicated on the battery holder. You can lower the inside
back down into the unit again and screw it in place after replacing the batteries.
