ASSEMBLY

ATTENTION: Do not connect the machine to the power supply until the assembly is complete.
Failure to comply could result in serious injury.
ATTENTION: It is recommended that the machine be screwed to a flat, level surface. Use the 4
mounting holes on the machine base and the MA8 (3/8") fasteners (not supplied) to secure the machine.

BLADE TENSION

If the blade tension is too loose, the blade may move during cutting and slide
over the drive rollers. If the blade tension is too high, unnecessary pressure
is exerted on the machine and the blade, resulting in premature breakage.
When properly tensioned, the blade should "ring" when pulled.
If it is necessary to adjust the blade tension, use the blade tension regulator
(A). To reduce tension, turn the blade tension regulator clockwise. To increase
the tension, turn the blade tension regulator counterclockwise.
Over time, the blades will stretch slightly, so check the tension before each use and adjust if necessary. Wider
leaves require more tension than narrower leaves.
ALIGNMENT OF KNIVES AND ROLLERS
The blade of the band saw must be centered on the rollers. The angle of the upper roller can be adjusted so that the
blade can be operated centrally using the roller regulator (B) at the rear of the machine. If the blade is close to the
front edge of the roller, it is necessary to tilt the roller slightly backwards. If the blade is close to the rear edge of the
roller, it is necessary to tilt the roller slightly forward.
1.
Open the upper door (C) of the machine by unscrewing the door knob (D).
2.
Switch on the machine and observe the position of the blade on the upper roller (E), then turn the machine off.
3.
If adjustment is required, loosen the roller regulator lock nut (F). To move the blade forward, turn the roller
regulator counterclockwise. To move the blade back, turn the roller adjuster clockwise.
4.
Switch on the machine and check the position of the blade. When the blade is operating centrally, tighten
the lock nut on the roller adjuster and close the top door.
