1. Install the socket

2. Connect the 9V block battery

3. Stick the smoke detector
into the socket and lock it by
turning slightly clockwise.
Caution: If no battery is
inserted, the smoke detec-
tor cannot be fixed in the
socket.
4. Carry out a function test
