5 - Usage

5.2 - Using the multimedia interface

The interaction between the user and the Multimedia Interface can take place in two ways:
• Interaction from the TV (or another monitor, e.g. a monitor).
By connecting the Multimedia Interface to a video device, it is possible to interact
directly with the graphic interface displayed, by means of the radio remote control.
• Remote interaction (e.g. from a set–up Handset).
Interaction by the user is not simply limited to menu navigation, but includes 4 different possible
applications:
1. Navigation application
This is the default application, whereby the user can navigate the menus and enable
the My Home Legrand system home automation functions.
2. Sound system application
Instead of being used for menu navigations, the remote control keys are used to con-
trol the sound system.
3. AUX application
By means of the device IR transmitter the remote control keys send IR sequences to
the TV and/or the connected auxiliary device (e.g. a DVD player), following a key and
function map that can be configured during the installation phase.
4. Video door entry system application
This application is automatically enabled when a video door entry call is made.
It is important to compile the tables in the "Personalizations" chapter of the user manual,
giving the functions assigned to the remote control keys.
