GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
This manual contains important information about the assembly, use
and maintenance of this Rangefinder. Keep this manual for future
reference. Be sure to read this manual completely before using the
Rangefinder. Keep this manual and review it regularly to maintain
awareness of procedures and warnings. This manual should be read
in conjunction with the warnings on the unit.
Failure to follow the warnings printed here and on the unit may result
in injury or blindness.
Particular attention should be paid to information accompanied by the safety alert word: WARNING.

It's been almost two decades since Brunton developed one of the first rangefinders on the market. Nowadays, the technology is much
improved. The Echo Rangefinder is a testament to how far we've come, literally. Measure distance with one yard accuracy all the way
down to 15 yards and out to 440 yards.
OPERATION
1. Battery installation: Open cover with a coin, place the battery in with the positive side up and replace the battery cover.
2. Adjust the focus of the eye piece to a clear image by rotating the eye piece for your vision.
3. Press the power button once to activate the rangefinder.
4. To change to a different mode, press the mode button once for each mode change.
5. Target the desired object using the reticle and press the power button to fire
the laser to acquire a range to target reading.
6. Press the Power button and hold it for 3 seconds to get an accurate range Measurement.
7. The range finder will power off automatically after a period of 15 seconds.
8. The distance is indicated with 3 digits, if "---" is shown this indicates the no distance has been measured.
9. To switch between the meters and yards measurements hold down the mode button for 3 seconds.
10. For best ranging results target a object that is solid or reflective.

MODES
The standard mode is for ranging targets that are closer than 150yds
The "<150" Mode allows ranging for objects that are over 150yds away.
Rain mode is for measuring during rainy conditions. This mode adapts the laser pulse to calculate for the disturbance in the beam to
provide an accurate reading for best results in this mode the target distance should exceed 65yds
WARNINGS:
DO NOT press both buttons at the same time as this may cause problems with the rangefinder. If an issue occurs with the an accidental
use of the above warning, remove and replace the battery to clear the software on the rangefinder. This will solve the problem. If your
rangefinder should truly fail to operate correctly , please discontinue use and contact Brunton's Customer Service department for as-
sistance: 800.443.4871 or by email at support@brunton.com.
NEVER look directly at the sun while using the rangefinder.
Although the rangefinder is water and dust resistant it is not waterproof and should not be submerged in water.
Do not leave the rangefinder in a vehicle on a hot day or by heat generating equipment, this may damage or adversely effect the
rangefinder.
Do not attempt to disassemble this product as this will void the warranty.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Lenses: When removing dust from the lens surface use a soft, oil free lens cloth or brush. When removing stains or smudges, like finger
prints from the lens surface, wipe the lenses gently with a soft clean cotton cloth or quality oil free lens tissue.
BODY: Clean the body of the rangefinder with a soft, clean and dry cloth. Do not use any solvent to clean the body as this may cause
damage to the rubber and polymer Body material.
STORAGE: Store the range finder in a cool dry place. After use in rainy or wet conditions dry the unit thoroughly at room temperature
before storing the unit.
WARRANTY
The Brunton Company warrants this product to be free of defects in workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the original owner. If
any such defects are discovered, your product will be repaired or replaced at the option of The Brunton Company. This warranty does
not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse or tampering. A charge will be assessed to repair such damage.
If service should become necessary, contact Customer Service at 1-800-443-4871 for a Return Authorization Number, pack the product
in a sturdy container to prevent damage and ship prepaid with insurance to cover loss in transit. Include $20 for shipping and handling
and return the product to:
