ASSEMBLY
WARNING ! Always ensure that the tool is switched off and the plug is removed
from the power source before making any adjustments or performing maintenance
procedures.
Selecting the right grade of sandpaper
Different grades of sandpaper can be purchased from your local store.
Use a coarse grit to sand down rough finishes, medium grit to smooth the work
and fine grit to finish off.
It is best to make a trial run on a scrap piece of material to determine the
optimum grades of sandpaper for a particular job. If there are still marks on your
work after sanding, try either going back to a coarser grade and sanding the
marks out before recommencing with the original choice of grit, or try using a
new piece of sandpaper to eliminate the unwanted marks before going on to a
finer grit and finishing the job.
WARNING! Do not use the same sanding sheet for wood and metal.
Metal particles become embedded in the sandpaper and will scour a wooden
surface.
Installing or removing sanding sheet
To install the sanding sheet, first remove all dirt or foreign matter from the pad.
Then peel off the backing paper from the sanding sheet and attach the
sanding sheet to the pad. Be careful to align the holes in the sanding sheet with
those in the pad. To remove, lift an edge of accessory with your fingernail and peel
it off the backing pad.
Note: If sanding sheet is accidentally left on the pad, the best way to remove it is
to sand for a few minutes to soften the adhesive backing.
CAUTION: If you peel off the sanding sheet from the pad, its adhesion will
become poor. Never attempt to stick it back onto the pad for further use.
Installing dust nozzle
Install the dust extraction outlet on the tool.
