before the first use
Before you use the appliance for the first time, please do as follows: Unpack the appliance carefully and remove all the
packaging material. Keep the material (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children.
Check the appliance after unpacking for any visible damage, which could be caused by transportation.
Place the appliance on a stable and heat resistant surface.
Wipe the housing of the appliance and the grillplates only with a damp cloth. Dry the appliance and the grillplates thoroughly.
When using the sandwich toaster for the first time, the appliance can produce a little smoke. This is normal.

Before plugging into a socket, check whether the voltage in your home corresponds with the voltage printed at the bottom
of the appliance.
Allow the sandwich toaster to heat while you prepare the sandwiches.
The red pilot light light up.
As soon as the sandwich toaster is ready for use the green pilot light goes on.
The sandwich toaster is now ready for use.
Attention: do not touch the metal parts or the grillplates, because they get very hot.
Open the sandwich toaster and place the sandwiches on the bottom grillplate. Do not stuff the sandwich with too much
ingredients as it can damage the appliance. Close the lid and lock it with the lock on the handle.
When the lid is difficult to close it is possible that the sandwiches are too thick or that you have used too much ingredients.
Do not make sandwiches with bread that is still frozen.
Remove the sandwiches with a wooden or plastic spatula to protect the non-stick coating. Do not use any metal or sharp
objects.
Warning: the stuffing of the sandwiches can be very hot. Be careful, especially with children.
Always unplug the appliance after use.
