HOW TO USE
1. Using a square and a sharp pencil, mark your
workpiece with a centerline along the face of
your board (not the edge to be joined)
2. Align your doweling jig to the centerline on
the face of your board using the built in
crosshairs and clamp it in position.
3. Loosen both the clamping knob and the
indexing knob. Slide the main plate until it is
aligned with the desired measurement on
the scale.

4. Tighten the indexing knob and then the
clamping knob. Failure to tighten these in this
specified order could result in holes that are
not square to the edge of your work piece.
5. Slowly drill through the desired drill bushings
until you reach the stop collar.
6. Repeat alignment and drilling procedure for
mating work piece. Place dowels in holes and
test fit the two pieces before gluing.
Note: For larger work pieces it is sometimes desirable
to drill multiple rows of dowel holes. To do this, set
your dowelling jig as instructed above, but leave it
clamped after drilling the first set of holes. Loosen
both knobs and slide the doweling jig to the next hole
location before tightening as instructed before.
Repeat for desired affect.
