IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Before operating any hand-held drill, read and understand all safety instructions in the owner's manual
that came with the drill.
• If you do not have a manual, contact the manufacturer and obtain one before using any power tool.
• Always wear eye protection om compliance with ANSI safety standards when operating any power tool.
• Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that may catch on the tools or equipment.
• Unplug the tool or machine when making any adjustments.

1/8" hex key (Provided)
SETTING THE DRILL BIT DEPTH COLLAR
1. Using the appropriately sized stop collar for your
drill bit, loosely screw the ¼"-20 Set screw into
the stop collar. Ensure it does not go too deep
and obstruct the inner diameter of the collar.

2. Slide the stop collar onto the drill bit and insert
the drill bit into one of the guide bushings on the
dowelling jig. Extend the drill bit past the bottom
of the main plate, so it drills deep enough to
accommodate half the dowel you are using (see
figure 1). For thinner stock, ensure the dowel
does not break through your material and
compensate by drilling deeper on the
corresponding piece.

3. With the drill bit depth set, ensure the stop collar
set screw is on the largest diameter of the drill
(not in a flute), and tighten it using the provided
1/8" hex key.
