MAINTENANCE OF THE POWER TILLER
The following information will help you to make the necessary revisions and perform the required procedures to follow
the recommendations of the normal maintenance of your power tiller.
CHANGE THE BELT FORWARD OR BACKWARD
1.
Turn off the machine. The engine has to be cold.
2.
Remove the spark plug wire and secure the spark plug.
3.
Remove the belt guard.

CHECK THE TRANSMISSION GREASE
Check the level of transmission grease annually. To check the level:
1.
Move the lever to the ground.
2.
Remove the dipstick from the grease level between the handlebar supports. If the fat level does not touch
the rod, fill it with grease.
3.
Use the filled orifice.
4.
Check that the front wheel drive and the rear tine drive share the same transmission fluid or grease.
CHECK THE TYRE PRESSURE
The recommended tyre pressure is 20PSI. If the tyres do not have the same pressure, the power tiller will move to the
side.
LUBRICATION
Proper lubrication for moving mechanical parts is extremely important for care and maintenance. Check the lubricant
level regularly (every 10 hours of use) and top up if necessary with SAE90 transmission oil.
CLEAN THE SHAFT OF THE ARMS
1.
Turn off the engine. The engine has to be cold.
2.
Remove the spark plug wire.
3.
Lock the folded handlebars towards the engine and remove dirt from the most frictional spots.
4.
Remove all vegetation, ropes, wires and any other material that has accumulated on the shaft or between
the teeth.
5.
Put the transmission back in a level position.
6.
Replace the spark plug wire.
