Intended use
The device is used to kill flies, mosquitoes or other small
flying insects. As soon as voltage is applied to the
device and the insect comes into contact with the grid,
it is killed by an electric shock.
The device is not suitable for commercial or industrial
use.
Any other type of use is inappropriate. Improper use or
modifications to the device or the use of components
that are not tested and approved by the manufacturer
may result in unforeseen damage!
General safety instructions
• To operate this device safely, the user must have
read and understood these instructions for use
before using the device for the first time.
• Observe all safety instructions! Failure to do so may
cause harm to you and others.
• Retain all instructions for use, and safety instruc-
tions for future reference.
• If you sell or pass the device on, you must also hand
over these operating instructions.
• The device must only be used when it functions
properly. If the product or part of the product is
defective, it must be taken out of operation and dis-
posed of correctly.
• Never use the device in a room where there is a
danger of explosion or in the vicinity of flammable
liquids or gases.
• The device is not suitable for outdoor use.
• Use in vehicles, on board ships or aircraft, in barns,
stables or similar places is not permitted.
• The device must not be used in rooms with particu-
larly high humidity.
• The device is equipped with a safety grid on each
side. Do not squeeze the grid surface and do not put
any objects through it.
• When pressing the on/off switch, never touch the
grid with your hand or any other part of your body.
• Never touch other people or animals with the
device.
• When using the device, keep a minimum distance of
30 cm from sensitive electronic devices.
• Never bring the device into contact with water.
• Be aware that the device can cause an electric
shock.
• Always ensure that a device which has been
switched off cannot be restarted unintentionally.
• Do not use devices with an on/off switch that does
not function correctly.
• Keep children away from the device! Keep the
device out of the way of children and other unauthor-
ised persons.
• Do not overload the device. Do not use the device
for purposes for which it is not intended.
• Take care when walking backwards. Danger of
stumbling!
• Exercise caution and only work when in good condi-
tion: If you are tired, ill, if you have ingested alcohol,
medication or illegal drugs, do not use the device, as
you are not in a condition to use it safely.
• Ensure that children are not able to play with the
device.
• Always comply with all applicable domestic and
international safety, health, and working regulations.

• Symbols appearing on your product may not be
removed or covered. Information on the product that
are no longer legible must be replaced immediately.
The device may only be used in dry, indoor
rooms.
Using for the first time
Changing the batteries
– Open the battery compartment lid.
– Replace the batteries. Observe correct polarity.
– Close the battery compartment lid again.
Operation
WARNING! Risk of injury from electric
shock! Do not touch the grid when it is
switched on! The outer grids serve as protec-
tion against accidental contact with the inner,
live, grid!
CAUTION! Risk of injury! When using the
device, make sure not to hit any persons, ani-
mals or objects with the impactor.
NOTICE! Risk of device damage Do not
strike the insect with the device as you would
with a conventional fly swatter.
– Keep the on/off switch pressed; this will energise the
metal grid.
• The control lamp lights up to indicate that the device
is ready for operation.
– Try to hit flying insects with the grid surface: if an
insect flies at the energised grid, it will be killed.
– Then release the on/off switch again.
Cleaning
WARNING! Risk of injury! Always remove
the batteries before working on the device.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device!
Never submerge device in water.
– Insects that stick to the grid can be removed by
shaking the device.
– Brush out impurities with a non-metallic brush.
Storage
NOTICE! Risk of device damage Old, leaky
batteries can damage the device. Regularly
check the batteries.
– Remove batteries and store them in a cool, dry
place when not in use for a long time.
Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
A crossed-out wheelie bin icon means: Batteries
and rechargeable batteries, electrical or elec-
tronic devices must not be disposed of with
household waste. They may contain substances
that are harmful to the environment and human health.
Consumers must dispose of waste electrical devices,
spent portable batteries and rechargeable batteries
separately from household waste at an official collection
point to ensure that these items are processed correctly.
