Before first use
Remove the KLAMER Waffle Maker 1000 from its packaging and remove all
packaging material. Before using the appliance for the first time, follow the
steps below:
1. Place the waffle maker on a flat and heat-resistant surface to ensure safe
use.
2. Clean the waffle maker according to the cleaning instructions - using a
soft and damp cloth, such as a moistened paper towel - in this manual.
Pay particular attention to the heating plates.
3. Allow the appliance to dry completely before connecting it to the power
supply and operating it.

You start up the waffle maker as follows:
Switching on and off
1. Set the heating level to 0. To switch on the appliance, connect the mains
plug to the socket. The right-hand indicator light of the waffle maker
lights up green.
2. After use, set the waffle maker back to heating level 0 and disconnect it
from the mains socket.

3. After switching on the appliance, set the desired heat level, level 0 (no
heat) to level 5 (highest heat).

4. Once the desired level has been set, the left indicator light will light up
solid red, indicating that the waffle maker is heating up.
5. As soon as the right indicator light lights up green, the waffle maker is
ready to pour in batter. Open the waffle maker and carefully pour the
batter onto the lower baking surface. Then close the waffle maker.
6. The baking time depends on the desired browning level and the batter.
Normally the waffles are ready in 2 to 5 minutes. We recommend
starting with a medium heat level and then adjusting depending on
how the waffles come out. General guidelines:
•
Low heat settings (0-2) might be suitable for thinner waffles or
waffles with a batter that burns easily (e.g. those with a high sugar
content).
•
Medium heat settings (2-4) are often a good starting point. You can
start here and adjust the temperature depending on your results.
•
High heat settings (4-5) might be suitable for thicker waffles or for
those who like their waffles extra crispy.
7. To remove the waffle, open the waffle maker and lift the waffle with a
heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensil. Picking too firmly, e.g. with a
fork, could damage both the waffle and the heating plates.
8. Repeat the process until all the batter has been used up.
After use
9. After use, return the waffle maker to heat setting 0 and disconnect it
from the power socket.
10. Let it cool down completely before cleaning or putting it away.
Warning
The appliance becomes very hot during operation. Avoid touching the hot
surfaces.
Cleaning
The waffle maker has non-stick plates that cannot be removed. It should be
cleaned with a soft, damp cloth, such as a moistened paper towel. It is not
dishwasher safe and under no circumstances should it be cleaned under
running water.
