• Fluid can escape from the battery when used
incorrectly. Battery fluid may result in skin irrita-
tions and burns. Avoid contact! In the event of
accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
Immediately seek the aid of a physician in the
event of eye contact.
Device-specific safety instructions
• Do not use adapters for extension cables.
• The unit must be assembled on an even, horizon-
tal surface with space surrounding it.
• Only operate the unit in well ventilated rooms.
• Never feed objects through the ventilation slots
into the unit. Risk to life!
• The unit may not be covered. This causes a risk
of fire.
• Never set up the unit next to easily flammable
objects. Always maintenance a minimum distance
of 1 metre.
• Make sure that flammable materials or sub-
stances capable of exploding are kept out of the
vicinity.
• The unit may not be operated in rooms with bath
tubs, showers or swimming pools or in the vicinity
of sinks or water installations.
• The unit heats up when in operation. Risk of
injury!
• The unit may not be operated outside.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and if they understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away
unless continuously supervised.
• Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years
shall only switch on/off the appliance provided
that it has been placed or installed in its intended
normal operating position and they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and
less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and
clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

• Symbols affixed to your unit may not be removed
or covered. Information on the unit that is no
longer legible must be replaced immediately.

Operation
Check before switching on!
DANGER! Risk of injury! The unit may
only be put into operation if no defects are
found when it is checked. If a part is defec-
tive, it must be replaced before the machine
is used again.
Check to make sure the unit is in a safe operating
condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible defects.
– Check to ensure that all switches have been set
to [0], before plugging the unit into the power
socket.

8. Parental Lock Button [ ]: Press and hold this
button for 5 seconds to turn parental lock on and
off.
9. Mode button [M]: press the mode button to switch
between ventilation and heating mode. In ventila-
tion mode, use buttons (12) [+/-] to toggle
between low and high fan speed. In heating
mode, the keys (12) [+/-] can be used to switch
between heating levels. If no key is pressed within
5 s, the mode setting is exited.
10. Pan button [ ]: press this button to turn the pan
function on and off.
11. Timer key [ ]: press this key to set the desired
switch-off time. Select the desired switch-off time
with keys (12) [+/-]; the setting range is between
0 and 24 h. If no key is pressed within 5 s, the
timer setting is exited.
12. [+/-] keys: press [+] or [-] to set the desired heat-
ing temperature. The temperature setting range is
between 5 °C and 35 °C with a 1 °C graduation. If
no key is pressed within 3 s, the temperature set-
ting is exited.
13. On/Off button [ ]: press the On/Off button in
standby mode to turn on the unit. The last operat-
ing mode set is executed.
14. [AI] button (remote control only): press this button
to adjust the heat output to the ambient tempera-
ture. If the ambient temperature is more than 2°C
below the set temperature, the unit heats at
medium power. If the ambient temperature is
within 2°C below the set temperature, the unit
heats at a low power level.
