5. Installation and start-up
5.1 Place of installation and requirements on site
• Water supply connection
• The inflowing water must comply with the applicable
German Drinking Water Ordinance.
• Inflowing water temperature max. 30°C
• Temperature on site 4° to 40°C; not in immediate vicinity of heater.
• Do not install in the immediate vicinity of heat sources or in direct sun.
• Depending on the composition of the raw water, the treated water
is more or less aggressive. Thus, the parts getting in contact
with the treated water must be made of suitable material (e.g. glass,
plastic or aluminium). Copper and other non-ferrous metals are
not suitable.
5.2 Installation and start-up
1.
Connect water hose to water inlet (5).
Slowly open ball valve (6) and fill bottle.
Open valve (2) in order to vent the equipment.

Close valve (2) and connect hose of water pole to water connect hose of water
pole to water outlet (1) and open pure water outlet (2) again.

The water flow can be controlled as needed via the ball valve
on the HiFlo™ Carbon Tec pole.

For transport, disassemble hoses again und close ball valves to
prevent water from escaping. Prior to this, the water must be
drained and the pressure relieved by opening the ball valves for
the transport.
5.3 Integrated TDS-metre
•
Rugged counter, designed for industrial purposes. Watertight, shielded cables.
•
Shows the TDS values of the incoming and outgoing value via two probes.
•
Auto-off function for maximum battery service life. Switches off after 30 se-
conds of inactivity. (2x AA-batteries needed, max. battery life app. 12-18 months)
•
Dual range 0-9990 ppm (from 0-999, the resolution is 1 ppm, from 1000-9990,
the resolution is 10 ppm) - is indicated by flashing „10" symbol.
•
Calibrated ex works with a 342 ppm NaCl solution. Recalibration possible with
a small screwdriver. Both probes can be calibrated together or individually. No
warranty in the case of incorrect handling and adjustment of the device.
