➢ There are 2 test modes you could choose to do the test:
Mode 1: Directly plug the relay into the Test Area;
Mode 2: Connect the small black alligator clips to the Test Port, this mode is for some special pin-out
relays, which could not be plugged into the Test Area.
➢ Attach the power supply clamps to a 12 or 24V DC power source (if the power source is not within
proper range, the tester will not start the test-see the NOTEs below).
➢ Press and release the "Select" button to select the number of pins on the relay. If the pin selection is
incorrect the test will fail. Confirm you have chosen the correct number of pins, and the plug-in or the
black alligator clips are securely attached.
➢ Press and release the " Test" button.
➢ The RelayCheck Pro will then test the relay and indicate a "Pass" or "Fail" test result.
Notes:
· Proper voltage is required for the RelayCheck Pro to operate. Range for the 12V DC relays is
approximately 12.0-15.0 volts. Range for the 24V DC relays is approximately 24.0-26.0 volts.
· Only one relay can be tested at a time.
· The power source will need to be capable of supplying 3 amps of current.
· If performing tests on multiple relays, allow the tester to cool for 15 seconds (30 seconds when testing
24V relays) between the tests.
· Some relays may require multiple tests to check additional contacts or coil connection terminals.
