1. Press the SET button to switch on the programming mode. The profi le number
fl ashes. Use the  and  buttons to select your desired profi le (01 to 10). Press
the SET button to confi rm your choice and to move on to the next parameter.
2. The symbol for 'male' will fl ash. If necessary, use the  or  button to switch to the
symbol for 'female'. Confi rm your choice by pressing the SET button.
3. "Age" will now fl ash on the display. You can now enter your age. Use the  and 
buttons to set your age (from 10 to 99 years) and confi rm your choice by pressing
the SET button.
4. Finally, the value for your height will fl ash. Use the  and  buttons to set your
height (from 100 to 240 cm or from 3' 3.4" to 7'10.5") and confi rm your choice by
pressing the SET button.
You can exit the programming mode by pressing the SET button after entering
your height. All of the data will be shown to you once again in succession on the
display. As soon as '0.0' kg (or lb or st) appears on the display, you can weigh
yourself. You can use the Unit button to change the unit of weight (see the "Setting
the Weight and Height Unit" chapter).
If you wish to enter the parameters for another person, wait until the device has
automatically switched itself off and then press the SET button again. The profi le
number starts to fl ash. Use the  or  button to select a new profi le and repeat
steps 2 – 4.
Determining Body Fat and Water Content and Bone and Muscle Mass
1. Place the scales on a dry, even, and fi rm base (avoid carpets). Uneven fl oors will
result in inaccurate measurement results.
2. Press the SET button to switch on the scales. The profi le number of the last user will
fl ash up. Use the  and  buttons to select your profi le.
3. Wait until the profi le number is no longer displayed, all of the data associated with
this profi le number have been shown in succession on the display and the display
shows '0.0' kg (or lb or st).
Before you stand on the scales, you can choose whether the weight should
be displayed in kilograms (kg), pounds (lb) or stone (st). To set the unit,
press the Unit button on the bottom of the scales.
4. Stand on the scales. Make sure that your feet are placed correctly on the contact
areas. The body weight will be calculated.
5. Once the body weight has been established, the number on the display begins to
fl ash. The other values are calculated immediately after this. This is indicated by the
countdown 'oooo' on the display.
6. During the countdown, you should remain still on the scales. As soon as the
countdown is fi nished and the body fat content appears on the display, you can
step off the scales. You will now be shown your values for body fat, water, bones,
muscles and weight in repeated sequence. You are also shown whether you fall into
the category UNDERFAT (body fat content too low), HEALTHY (normal body fat
content) or OVERFAT (elevated body fat content).
