PRE-OPERATION CHECK
• Ensure that the following parts and accessories are intact and safe to use:
- Chain saw body
- Guide bar
- Chain
- Battery pack
- Charger
• Check the battery pack.
• Ensure that the battery pack is fully charged.
• Ensure that the chain saw is clean.
• Install the guide bar and the chain.
• Check the tension of the chain.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Warning: If kickback occurs, the guide bar will bounce towards the operator, which may cause serious or fatal injuries.
• Grasp the chain saw handle with both hands.
• Always cut at full speed.
• Do not cut with the head of the guide bar.
• When starting to cut, operate the chain saw at full speed and keep the guide bar vertical.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Cleaning, maintenance and repair precautions
• If the battery pack is not disconnected from the tool during cleaning, maintenance and repair, the chain saw may start suddenly, leading to serious injury
and/or property damage.
- Cut off the power supply.
- Remove the guide bar and the chain.
• Corrosive cleaning agents, high-pressure cleaning equipment or sharp cleaning tools may damage the chain saw, guide bar, chain, battery pack and charger.
If the chain saw, guide bar, chain, battery pack and charger are not cleaned properly, do not function properly, or the safety device does not work, serious
injury may result.
- Clean the guide bar and chain, according to the instructions.
• If the chain saw, guide bar, chain, battery pack and charger are not maintained properly, the parts may fail to perform as intended, leading to serious injury.
- Do not try to maintain or repair the chain saw, battery pack and charger on your own.
- If the chain saw, battery pack and charger requires maintenance: contact the supplier.
- Maintain the guide bar and chain as described in the manual.
• When cleaning and maintaining the chain saw, the user may be cut by the sharp edges of the teeth.
- Wear cut-resistant gloves.
Maintenance of the guide bar
• If there are burrs on the edge of the guide bar groove, polish it.
Chain sharpening
• In order to sharpen the chain, use a special round file that is made specifically for sharpening chains. Do not use ordinary round files.
• The saw teeth should only be polished with forward movement. Ensure that the file does not touch the teeth when retracting it backwards. Sharpen the
shortest tooth first. The length of the tooth is used as the reference size of other teeth on the chain:
- The round file blade must match the chain pitch.
- The teeth must be sharpened from inside out.
- Grind in one direction according to the angle of the teeth.
- Maintain the angle of the cutting edge of the teeth.
- Sharpen the small teeth according to the depth of the guide bar groove.
Cleaning the guide bar and the chain
1. Turn off the chain saw and cut off the power supply.
2. Remove the guide bar and the chain.
3. Clean the guide bar and the chain with a soft brush.
4. Install the guide bar and the chain.
