Painting of Reverse Sensor Heads
Caution
Please note that extreme care should be taken if you decide to paint the
reverse sensor heads to match the colour of your vehicle.
Some cleaning agents, solvents and certain paints may damage the heads
and cause the reverse sensors to malfunction. Also, placing too much
paint on the reverse sensor heads may affect functionality.
Failure to adhere to the following recommendations may affect the
function of your system or stop it functioning altogether and the
manufacturer and supplier will not be held responsible for any correction,
replacement or damage caused.
The following is our recommended painting procedure:
1. Do not use strong solvents for cleaning the heads
2. Use a Flexi‐Plastic Primer – one coat only
3. For colour, use an Acrylic with Flex additive – maximum of 2 coats.
Ensure this is not painted too thickly
4. If required, use a Clear Acrylic final coat – single coat only
