GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
Protect all lead wires from coming in contact with sharp objects, hot surfaces, and chemicals.
If continuous operation of the fan is essential for the safe functioning of any equipment, then
adequate warning devices must be installed to assure safe operation at all times.
Finger guards should be placed on both the intake and exhaust sides of the circulating fan.
CAUTION: Hoffman cooling fans and fan brackets are not designed for use in hazardous
locations.
LOCATION AND MOUNTING
The Hoffman fan brackets should be installed on the panel for optimum performance. However,
they may be mounted to any surface that provides adequate support.
It is recommended to place the circulating fan in a location that will eliminate hot spots inside the
enclosure.
When using a circulating fan in conjunction with the Hoffman temperature switch, the switch should
be located in the upper half of the enclosure to minimize the effects of air stratification within the
enclosure.
Four 10−32 screws are required for mounting the fan bracket.
WIRING
All wiring must comply with applicable local codes and ordinances.
Note: Once installation is complete and before any circuits are energized, check all internal and
external electrical clearances to assure that all mounted equipment will function safely and properly.
MAINTENANCE INFORMATION
Always disconnect power supply before inspecting or working on fan and fan brackets.
Generally, the circulating fan and bracket requires no maintenance.
− 2 −
To avoid electrical shock and product damage, disconnect power supply before
beginning installation.
Before installing fan bracket, read these instructions carefully. Failure to do so
could result in product damage and/or cause a hazardous condition.
