1. Before operation, check whether the tool attach-
ment is properly attached, i.e. centred in the locking
sleeve (2).
2. Screw bits are marked with their dimensions and
shape. If you are unsure, always try out first wheth-
er the bit sits in the screw head without play.

Adjusting the direction of
rotation (Fig. 1)
ATTENTION
The direction of rotation switch may only be actuated
when idle.
With the direction of rotation switch, you can select the
direction of rotation of the product (clockwise or anti-
clockwise) and secure the product from being switched
on unintentionally. The arrow on the direction of rotation
switch indicates the working direction.
1. Wait until the product has come to a standstill.
2. Push the direction of rotation switch (8) to the de-
sired position:
– Clockwise rotation: For screwing in screws
and nuts. Press the direction of rotation switch
on the right, with the arrow pointing forwards.
– Anti-clockwise rotation: For undoing screws
and nuts. Press the direction of rotation switch
on the left, with the arrow pointing backwards.
3. Switch lock: Put the direction of rotation switch in
the centre position.
8.6
On/Off switch (7) (Fig. 1)
1. To switch on the product, push the on/off switch (7).
2. To switch off, release the on/off switch (7).
If you put the direction of rotation switch (8) in the
centre position, the product is secured from being
switched on.

LED work lamp (6) (Fig. 1)
This product is equipped with an LED work lamp to illu-
minate the immediate work area and improve visibility
in poorly lit environments.
CAUTION
Do not look directly into the LED work lamp or the
light source.
1. The LED work lamp (6) lights up automatically as
soon as the product is switched on.
Note:
The LED work lamp remains lit up for approx. 10 sec-

Setting the speed/tightening
torque (Fig. 1)
1. Apply light pressure to the on/of switch (7). This en-
sures a low speed/tightening torque. Applying more
pressure to the on/off switch (7) increases the
speed/tightening torque.
Note:
The tightening torque is dependent on the chosen
speed and the impact duration.
ATTENTION
The actual tightening torque achieved must always
be checked with a torque wrench!
Note:
The integrated motor brake ensures a quick standstill.

Working instructions
Note:
* = not included in the scope of delivery!
Undoing
• If the screws/nuts are very tight or rusted, they must
be "loosened" with a wheel brace* or torque
wrench*
Tightening
ATTENTION
The cordless impact screwdriver should only be used
for undoing screws/nuts. However, if screws/nuts are
to be tightened with the impact screwdriver, a torque
limiter* designed for this purpose must be used as
this may otherwise damage the screw connection.
• Carefully insert the screw/nut into the thread before
tightening.
• Only tighten the screws/nuts, for which a torque
specification applies (e.g. in the motor vehicle sec-
tor, by the specifications of the vehicle manufactur-
er), with a torque limiter designed for this purpose.
Torque
• Small screws*/bits* may be damaged if the torque
or the speed is set too high.
WARNING
Retighten or check the screws/nuts with a torque
wrench* to the torque stipulated by the manufacturer!
