2.2 Persons
•
The product should not be used on persons who are insensitive to heat or who need a
lot of protection because they cannot react to overheating (e.g., diabetics, persons with
disease-induced skin changes or scars in the area of application, after taking analgesics
or narcotics, or alcohol).
•
Children under 3 years of age should not use this product because they cannot react to
overheating.
•
Keep the product and cord out of the reach of children.
•
Do not let pets or small children chew on the power cord to avoid electric shock.
•
Do not allow children to play with the product. Use and store the product out of the reach
of children.
2.3 Use
•
When using the product on an adjustable bed, make sure that the product cannot
crease and the control panel cannot be covered when adjusting the bed.
•
Do not use the product near objects or surfaces that are sensitive to heat.
•
Parts of the product will become hot. Do not clean the product while it is still hot. Wait until
the product has cooled down before cleaning it.
2.4 Medical use
•
Do not use the product if you have circulatory problems and do not use the product on
areas sensitive to heat. This can lead to burns!
•
Do not use the product or consult a doctor before use if: you are pregnant; you have a
pacemaker or other electronic implants; you have circulation problems, varicose veins,
open wounds, bruises, broken skin, inflammation of the veins or other skin conditions; you
are sensitive to heat.
•
Do not use the product; on sunburned or sensitive skin; swollen or inflamed areas; areas
with poor circulation, broken or injured skin, bruises or skin irritations; on unconscious
or sleeping people; in the same place, in bed, for long periods of time. This may cause
symptoms or pain.
•
This product is not a substitute for treatments from a physician or physical therapist.
Chronic symptoms may worsen.
2.5 Electronics
•
Use only the supplied AC charger. Using any other charger may cause irreparable
damage to the product and the environment and may be dangerous.
•
If the power fails during use, immediately turn off the product and unplug it.
•
If the surface of the product is cracked, turn off the product to avoid electric shock.
•
Check both power cord and plug regularly for signs of damage or wear, and if there is
any, do not use the product and have the power cord and/or plug replaced or repaired
by authorized service personnel.
•
Do not immerse the product, power cord or plug in water. If water does get inside or
on the product, turn the product off immediately and contact our customer service
department.
