7) Round brush
The two brushes (metal and nylon) are pushed into
position on the long nozzle in the same way as the curved
nozzle.
Hidden dirt can be removed, from shutters, central heating
radiators, piping etc. with the small metal brush.
The nylon brush is designed for removing ingrained dirt
from less sensitive materials such stainless steel or stone
(fig. 9A). These units can be removed simply by pulling
them downwards (fig. 9B).
8) Brush spray unit and terry cloth cover
Place the terry cloth cover on the brush spray unit for
more thorough cleaning and to protect the work surface
(Fig. 10). Insert the brush spray unit on the main unit by
twisting it as far as possible in the direction indicated by
the arrow.
9) Flat spray unit
Use the flat spray unit for cleaning windows, mirrors, slabs
or other smooth surfaces. This unit is fitted with a rubber
sheet combined with a brush spray unit (fig.11).
WARNING: Glass may crack when subjected to thermal
shocks! Before steam-cleaning, pre-heat glass areas by
spraying steam 20 to 25 cm away from their surface.
Slowly reduce this distance to 10 to 15 cm to increase
the pre-heating temperature.
10) Floor brush unit and large floor cloth
Fit the floor brush unit to the end of the extension tube.
Check that the tube has clicked into position when fitted.
The floor unit is ideal for cleaning washable wall surfaces
and floor coverings. It can be used with or without the
floor cloth. However, we recommend that the floor cloth
is used for cleaning delicate surfaces such as wood or
linoleum. Place the floor brush on the cloth and fix the
cloth in position using the grips on the left and right-hand
sides of the brush. Press on the inside of the support, then
open the grips. The floor cloth can then be pushed into
position (fig. 12B). To release the floor brush, press on the
corresponding release button and remove it by pulling it
downwards. The floor brush unit is fitted with a separate
connection. Assemble as shown.
11) Cleaner holder
The cleaner holder is used when putting the nozzle into
position for protecting persons from injury and objects
from damage. It is also used for ironing clothing vertically
(fig. 13).
A. OPERATION
1. Unpack the cleaner and all the attachments. Check that
all the contents are complete. If possible, keep the box
and the interior packaging elements so that the unit will
be protected if ever the unit is transported or when any
packaging elements are no longer needed. Contact your
dealer immediately if you discover any damage caused
by transport when you unpack the equipment. The unit
MUST NOT be started up if it has been damaged in any way
whatsoever.
2. Read the manual carefully before using the unit
3. Use the jug and funnel to fill the unit with a litre and
a half of pure water and close the safety cap. Insert the
steam cleaner plug into the mains socket and start up the
unit by pressing the ON/OFF switch.
Connect the steam generator to the mains supply. The
DRY STEAM will be ready for use after heating up for 10
minutes.
Running time with one full tank is 50 minutes at the most.
The green light indicates that the unit is ready to use and
the red light indicates that power is on.
The power-on light is lit when the DRY STEAM has been
connected and started. It indicates that the DRY STEAMis
warming up. Operating temperature is reached in about 10
minutes, at which time the green light comes on to indicate
that the unit is ready for use.
Check connection load values if an extension cord is used.
Ask an electrician for advice if necessary.
4. Press gently on the steam trigger to see whether steam
is beginning to escape. Fit the attachments required for the
various cleaning operations to be carried out.
5. Press the steam trigger a second time to begin cleaning.
Warning:
Do not aim the steam output at a target that is too
far away. Remove dirt by moving the steam nozzle
backwards and forwards. The flow of steam can be
adjusted by turning the steam control and adjusting it
depending on how soiled the surface may be.
Turn the steam control clockwise to reduce the amount of
steam and anti-clockwise to increase it (fig. 14).
Never aim the steam gun at people, animals or electrical
units (ovens for example) as this may lead to electric
shocks.
