The MSU range allows cascade or standalone operation.
Definition of standalone mode:
Multiswitch used alone or at the end of the cascade.
This mode loads the trunks of the Multiswitch with 75-ohm terminations.
In standalone mode, add the power supply 12V / 3A ref.0145233R13
Definition of cascading mode:
Mode allowing the addition of multiswitches in cascadable mode.
The trunks are not loaded.
Calculate the overall consumption of the installation to define the number of necessary
power supplies (multiple of 3A).
Amplification before injection in the multiswtich / column
Multiswitches (switches) accept high input levels. If the Satellite signals output from a QUATTRO
or Terrestrial LNB at the output of an antenna or a filtering station are not sufficient, they will
have to be amplified.
Active Terrestrial for all multiswitches: Maximum input level of 105 dBμV
Satellite for all multiswitches: Maximum input level of 100 dBμV
Column feed, remote power supply
The DC case and LNB power supply is via any satellite cascadable output from the switch (main
satellite).
The power supply without receiver does not make it possible to remote power the multiswitch
nor the heads, nor a preamplifier of reception by terrestrial input. It is obligatorily a 12 V
external power supply.
The remote feeding does not go up by the terrestrial trunk.
It goes back only by the satellite trunk
System performance
- The system can operate in active or passive mode for the terrestrial.

- The trunk losses are to be taken into account when using more than one multi-switch in the
columns.
- The multiswitches can operate without power* in this case, all the LEDs are off.
* If satellite and terrestrial signals are available and powered from elsewhere.
