RS485 Connection

The package contains a 1.5 m cable for this purpose. The connection line must be set up in accordance with the number of boards
to be monitored.
From an electrical aspect, all the devices that have an RS485 serial line with ModBus RTU protocol can be interfaced with AERWEB300.
The library corresponding to the board that is to be monitored is required for actual dialogue.
At the time of print, the Aermec devices that can be interfaced with AerWeb300 are:
• ANL/ANLI/ANK/ANR series chillers with MODU_CONTROL control board
• NRA/NRL/NRC series chillers, with GR2001/GR3 control board
• RVB/NS/NSB series chillers, with pCO2/pCO3 control board
• NXW-WSA-WSB-WSH series chillers, with pCO2/pCO3 control board
• NRP series chillers, with pCO3 control board
If for any reason the supplied cable is not to be used or if it is not long enough, a 2-pin twisted shielded cable, category 5, with a
minimum section of 0.5 mm
• Maximum length of the RS485 line: 1200 m (with a baud rate of 9600);
• The length of the line is halved at approximately double the transmission frequency;
• Keep the cable away from any source of electromagnetic pollution (e.g. power cables);
• The cable shield must not be connected to the system's earth connection but left free;
• The GND terminal of the RS485 connector must not be connected;
• When connected to a number of boards, a BUS-topology network must be implemented and not in the form of a tree or star. Example:

The RS485 serial line of the boards to be monitored
must be connected to the terminal provided on the
AERWEB300, marked as "RS485" with pins 12, 13 and
14, by means of the removable connection supplied.
