TROUBLESHOOTING/FAQS
Why won't the toaster turn on?
Make sure the toaster is plugged in. If it is, make sure that the power
cord is not visibly damaged in any way and that the power outlet being
used is working. If the power cord is damaged, do not use the toaster.

Why did the toaster turn off when I started to toast?
The toaster's Anti-Jam Safety Feature causes the unit to power off if
food gets jammed. Check to ensure that food is not stuck in the toaster.
If food is stuck, unplug the unit, remove the food, and plug the unit back
in to resume toasting. If food is not stuck, contact Chefman® Customer
Support for assistance.
My food is not burned, but a burning smell is coming from the toaster.
This can be caused by burning crumbs that have collected in the crumb
tray. Let the toaster cool completely, then turn it upside down and gently
shake over a trash bin to remove any excess crumbs. Refer to Cleaning
and Maintenance on p. 20 on how to remove and clean the crumb tray to
prevent a buildup of crumbs.
My bread has fallen apart and crumbled inside the toaster.
How do I remove it?
Never insert metal utensils or forks into the toaster. Unplug the toaster
and turn it upside down over the counter or sink. If the entire piece does
not come out, raise and lower the lever a few times.
