Quality lighting from green energy

INTRODUCTION
You are now the proud owner of the Hyundai Solar Durable lantern
light! For best results study the manual carefully before using the
Hyundai Solar Durable lantern light. Please keep this manual handy for
ready reference. During the day, the solar panel converts solar power
into energy and stores it in the rechargeable battery. At night, the light
turns on automatically and uses energy stored in the battery. The
duration of the illumination will depend on your geographical location,
weather conditions and seasonal light availability.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Solar light has a solar panel that converts sunlight into electricity.
During the day, the electricity converted by the solar panel is stored
in the rechargeable battery. At night, the solar light is powered by
the battery using the electricity stored during the day. The operating
time depends on geographical location, daily weather conditions and
season.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT LOCATION
Select a location with full, direct sunlight. Do not install in shady areas
as these areas will not allow the battery to be fully charged and will
reduce nighttime working hours. Be sure that the selected location is
not close to other nighttime light sources such as street lights or porch
lights. These light sources may keep the solar lights from turning on
automatically.
ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
No tools required for assembly and installation.
1. Turning on the light
• Remove the plastic film before using.
• Gently seperate the panel section (C) form the top section (B) to
expose the pull tab.
• Pull out the pull tab to allow the battery to start operating. The solar
light is now activated.
2. Assembly and installation
• Use the wall mount (G) as a template to mark and drill holes at the
mounting location for the solar light (A).
• Insert plastic expansion anchors (G) into drilled holes, and screw in
wall mount to affixed area.
• To mount the solar light (A) onto a fixed wall mount, slide into place
using the rails on the back of the solar light. Your solar light is now
installed.
MAINENANCE
Replacing the battery

CHARGING THE BATTERY
For optimum performance, it is best to install the solar lights in full
sunlight and charge for 10-12 hours. Allow the light to run at least
8-12 entire charging and discharging cycles to reach batteries
maximum capacity.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your solar garden light does not turn on at night, it may be caused
by the following:
• Pull tab has not been taken out: Take pull tab out and allow the light
to charge for at least 8 hours in direct sunlight.
• Battery is not fully charged: Make sure the light is placed in an
area where the solar panel gets the maximum amount of full, direct
sunlight everyday. If the solar panel does not receive enough
sunlight during the day (e.g. due to cloudy or overcast weather
conditions), it will be re-charged on the next sunny day and resume
operation.
• Other light sources: Your solar garden light is located too close to
street lights, porch lights or other lights. These light sources may
turn the solar light off automatically. Relocate the solar light or
eliminate those other light sources.
• Ficture installed in a shady area, for example in the shadow of a tree
or a house. Move the fixture to an area that get full direct sunlight.
• The Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-Mh) Rechargeable battery may be
faulty: Replace battery.
